BIMAL Report
The 530G Calf Raise machine has been designed to strengthen the calf without the imposition of loads through the thoracic and lumbar spine joints or brachial plexus nerve roots which conventional machines do. The cam replicates the muscular dynamics of the calf group so that the load is proportional to the force curve of the muscle during contraction. The design concept is such that the load is taken through the pelvic girdle and not the spinal vertebrae and that the muscle is worked through its full range of motion.
The machine is effective for the following conditions:-
• Calf lesions
• Tendo-achilles lesions
• Stretching for posterior crural contractures
• Proprioception for knee reconstructive rehabilitation
• Ankle reconstructive rehabilitation
• Lateral collateral ligament strains of the ankle
• Late stage osteochondral defect lesions (ankle) rehabilitation
• Tendon transplant rehabilitation
